Aristes - Albert S. Choinski, 93, of 400 Lieby Street, passed away October 11, 2022 at Emmanuel Center for Nursing in Danville.

Born in Shenandoah on April 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Larry and Josephine (Sieczka) Choinski. Albert attended school in Shenandoah.

On April 29, 1955 he married the love of his life Marcia Williams, who preceded him in death in March 2006.

Albert proudly served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Purolator Corp. in a variety of capacities.

He was a member of the Aristes United Methodist Church. Albert enjoyed planting his garden, making homemade smoked kielbasa, attending local seasonal picnics, indulging in good food and listening to polka music. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Albert is survived by a son, Allen Choinski and wife, Jane of Doylestown; a daughter, Karen Hendrickson and husband, Matthew of South Orange, NJ; a grandson, Daniel Hendrickson of NJ; four granddaughters, Jessica Hunt and husband, Geoff of VA, Natalia Choinski of Doylestown, Sofia Choinski of Doylestown and Caroline Hendrickson of NJ; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Albert was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Mensch and husband, George; two brothers, Wally Choinski and Joseph Choinski; and four sisters, Helen Petrachonis, Emily Lechowicz, Mary Ulbin, and Florence White.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Rose Marquardt officiating in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home, 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C. J. Lucas, IV, Supervisor. Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Aristes. Viewing will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home.
