Kulpmont - Albert "Al" J. Kase, 87, of 834 Chestnut Street, passed away October 19, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, surrounded by his family, who loved him dearly.

Born in Kulpmont on January 27, 1931, he was the son of the late Alex and Anna (Olbrish) Kasinowski. He attended St. Casimirs Grade School. He served in the U.S. Army in LaBendor from 1952 to 1954 as a Corporal.

He married Joan Pascavage on February 4, 1956 in Divine Redeemer Church (Formerly Mother of Consolation) in Mount Carmel. He was a member of Holy Angels Church, V.F.W. of Mount Carmel and Kulpmont, American Legion in Mount Carmel and Kulpmont, The West End Fire Company in Kulpmont, Jan Sobieski Club, Clover Hose Fire Company, West End Athletic Club, and Senior Citizens in Kulpmont.

Al was a devoted family man. Kind, loving, caring and generous to everyone. He enjoyed cooking, canning, and giving away jars of pickles. He loved his garden and always planted vegetables. He was an artist and drew many pictures. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Al is survived by his wife, Joan (Pascavage) Kase; one son, Alan Kase of MD; three grandchildren, John Alan, Jeffrey Alan and his wife Colleen, and Jackie Alison; one brother, Harry Kasinowski and his wife Loretta of Shamokin; one sister, Dorothy Thurner and her husband Carl of Mount Carmel; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Peter Kasinowski and his wife Anna, and Frank Kasinowski and his wife Kandy; and two sisters, Helen Slodysko and her husband Robert, and Verna Kasinowski.

Kase, 87, of 834 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont - Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 11:00 am in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating. Burial will be held at Saint Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont.
