Mount Carmel - Alice M. O'Donnell, 86, of 500 West Third Street, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

Born in Mount Carmel on August 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Hudock) Saukaitis. She was a graduate of Mount Carmel Catholic High School.

She was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel and was the manager at the Mount Carmel Mid-Rise.

Alice was married in Mount Carmel to the late John O'Donnell, who preceded her in death in 1962.

She was a member of Divine Redeemer Church and the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include two sons, John O'Donnell of Mount Carmel; Ed O'Donnell and his wife Ann Targonski of Shamokin; a daughter, Sandra Hause and her husband Harvey Jr., of Kulpmont; nine grandchildren, John O'Donnell, Corey Kent and Kyle Kent all of Mount Carmel; Amber O'Donnell of Bethlehem; Erin O'Donnell of Shamokin; Maureen Shock and her husband Jake of Catawissa; Elen O'Donnell of Shamokin; Mikael and Lauren Hause both of Kulpmont; two great grandchildren, Alexandra Picarella and Edward Shock; one brother, Robert Saukaitis and his wife Betty of Lansdale; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and lifelong friend, Mary Altomare.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by five brothers, Butch Saukaitis, Jack Saukaitis, Paul Saukaitis, Stephen Scott and Michael Saukaitis and two sisters, Gabrielle Novak and her husband Vincent and Monica Saukaitis.

Alice M. O'Donnell, 86, of 500 West Third Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11:00 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Father Martin O. Moran III, officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel Twp.  Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 with transferal prayers at 10:00 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J.
