Mount Carmel - Alma J. Coroniti, 90, formerly of 351 South Willow Street, died Monday, October 8, 2018 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

Born in Shamokin on April 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Perseski) Koveleski. She was a 1946 graduate of Coal Township High School.

She has been a Mount Carmel resident since 1956.

Alma was employed in various factories in Shamokin, Mount Carmel and Kulpmont including both Lady Jane and Jane Lord sewing factories.

On September 24, 1948 in Philadelphia she married the late Reynold Coroniti, who preceded her in death on May 28, 1986.  Together they celebrated 38 years of marriage.

She was a member of the former St. Peter's Church and Divine Redeemer Church, ILGWU, Senior Action Center and Paulinarians.

Survivors include two daughters, Toni Bosevich Furcon and husband Joe of Mountain Top and Joann Sassani and her husband Richard of Danville; three granddaughters, Beth Hojnowski and her husband Peter; Eleanor Matulewicz and Angela Bosevich Tagnani and her husband Dave; two grandsons, Frank Bosevich and Tony Matulewicz; two great granddaughters, Ava Hojnowski and Lucy Eklund; three great grandsons, Colin Hojnowski, Nico Tagnani and Luca Tagnani and her granddog, Izzy; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Trocki, Louise Koveleski; a brother-in-law, Dante Coroniti and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Alma was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Koveleski.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Relatves, friends and neighbors are invited to attend a funeral mass on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Father Martin Kobos, OFM Conv. officiating.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  There will not be a viewing.  C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, Supervisor is assisting the family with arrangements.
