Kulpmont – Anna M. (Zushin) Nicola, 81, passed away February 28, 2022 at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Shamokin on June 4, 1940, the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Sawina) Zushin.

On June 29, 1959, she married Robert Nicola, who preceded her in death in 2007.

Anna was a member of Church of the Holy Angels.

Anna is survived by two sons, Steve Nicola and wife, Susan of Mount Carmel and Robert Nicola of Mount Carmel; two grandsons, Brian Nicola and Seth Nicola; five granddaughters, Sandy Nicola, Cheryl Nicola, Stephanie Nicola, Leah Slodysko and husband, Jarred, and Sara Nicola; a great-grandson, Lucciano Abrahamson; three great-granddaughters, Micaela Mensch, Olivia Wilson, and Amelia Wilson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Anna M. (Zushin) Nicola, 81, of Kulpmont – Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with transferal prayers at 10 a.m. in the C. J.
