Mt. Carmel – Anna Marie Thomas (Tomkowiak), 90, of 315 S. Hickory Street, passed away on April 14, 2026, at her residence.

She was born in Mt. Carmel on March 25, 1936, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Zalesky) Tomkowiak.

Anna attended St. Joseph's School and Mount Carmel Junior High School. She lived in Connecticut for 26 years, where she worked as a housekeeper, and moved back to the Mount Carmel area in 2004.

Anna was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, formerly St. Joseph's Church.

Anna is survived by nieces and a nephew, Joy (Robert) Harkinson, Terry (Milton Sellers) Thomas, and Michael (Denise) Prosnick; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; and her friend and caregiver, Marie Crawford. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her siblings, Bernard Tomkowiak, Alfred Tomkowiak, Clem Tomkowiak, Agnes Prosnick, and Helen Bernas.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Francis Karwacki officiating in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held in the Church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Arrangements are in care of C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt.
