Kulpmont – Anna Marie (Gard) Voloshin, 87, of 14 N. 8 ^th Street, passed away August 20, 2021 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

She was born at home on December 6, 1933, in Kulpmont, daughter of the late Morris and Minnie (Bruno) Gard.

Anna Marie was a 1951 graduate of Kulpmont Roosevelt High School.

On November 6, 1954, in St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Marion Heights, she married John P. "Jackie" Voloshin, who passed away on August 18, 2013, after almost 59 years of marriage.

Anna Marie worked 35 years for the Department of Labor and Industry, Bureau of Job Service and Unemployment Compensation, Shamokin, until her retirement in 1988.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont (formerly St. Mary's/Assumption of the BVM).

Anna Marie is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie Voloshin of Claymont, DE, and JoAnn Hill and husband Tom of Oak Ridge Estates, Mount Carmel; two brothers, Nicholas Gard and wife Shirley of Kulpmont and Morris Gard Jr. and wife Linda of Mount Pleasant, SC; a brother-in-law, Stephen Voloshin and wife Rose of NJ; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mirarchi and husband Ralph of NJ, Ann Gard of Harrisburg, wife of the late Chester Gard, and Rose Voloshin; and several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her husband Jackie, Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Minnie Gard; two brothers, Chester Gard and Joseph Gard and wife Cathy Jo; a sister, Mary "Mimi" Gard; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stephen and Josephine (Cichoskie) Voloshin: and a brother-in-law, Michael Voloshin and first wife Judy.

Anna Marie will be greatly missed by her family, relatives of the Gard and Voloshin families, and friends.

Anna Marie (Gard) Voloshin, 87, of 14 N. 8 ^th Street, Kulpmont – Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Marion Heights. Viewing will be held prior to the Mass from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in C. J.
