Kulpmont – Bernard P. Britt, 74, of 930 Spruce Street, Kulpmont, passed away on November 14, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

He was born at Ashland State Hospital on November 21, 1950, the son of the late James Britt and Margaret (Muldowney) Britt.

Bernard was a 1970 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. He was a resident of Kulpmont since 1986, and formerly resided in Wind Gap, PA, Jacksonville, FL, and Mount Carmel. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and retired as a truck driver for Roadway Express.

On March 27, 1971, in the former Saint Mary's Church in Kulpmont, he married Maureen P. Austic, who survives.

Bernard was a Fourth Degree member of the Mount Carmel Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Kulpmont American Legion and V.F.W..

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James Britt and wife Lorraine of Mount Carmel, a daughter, Jennifer Breault and husband Jeffrey of Florida; five grandchildren, Chelsea Maulden and husband Trey, Jason Breault, Cameron Britt and wife Abby, Lily Britt, and Emily Britt; two great-grandchildren, Oliver Maulden and Henry Maulden; two sisters, Harriet Koos and husband Robert of Ocean City, MD, and Eileen Johnson and husband Ralph of Taylorsville; two sisters-in-law, Eloise Britt of Ashland, and Rita Lenza and husband Roy of Kulpmont; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward Muldowney McCarthy, James Britt, William Britt, Paul Britt, and Richard Britt; and five sisters, Janet Susnoski, Marilyn Bolesta, Lillian Matty, Mary Louise Olear, and Lorraine McAndrew.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 6 p.m. until the Funeral Service with Fr. Charles Ocul, A.J., as celebrant at 8 p.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, PA. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
