Catawissa – Charles W. Jessick Jr., 91, of 418 Numidia Dr., passed away on June 7, 2026, surrounded by his family at his residence.

He was born at his family farm in Elysburg on February 6, 1935, the son of the late Charles and Stella (Kewaleski) Jessick Sr.

Charles was a graduate of Ralpho Township Elementary School and Ralpho Township High School, Class of 1952. He worked as a professional barber for 42 years in the Berwick area.

On March 3, 1962, he married the former Margaret Doraski in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Catawissa. Together they shared 64 years of marriage.

Charles was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mercy Church. He enjoyed farming and was an animal lover who took care of many animals throughout his life. Charles also enjoyed house carpentry and remodeling.

Charles is survived by his wife, Margaret Jessick; a son, Stephen Jessick; and nieces and nephews, Cathy, Joe, John, James, and Rita. Charles was the last member of his family and was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Edward, and Chester; sisters, Alice, Stella, Eleanor, and Dr. Irene; and two infant siblings.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11 a.m. with Father Martin O. Moran III officiating in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Slabtown, PA. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA. Visitation will be held on Monday in the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
