Mount Carmel - Claire H. Jurasich, 99, of 330 West Fifth Street, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Mount Carmel on December 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Catherine (Wightman) Smith. She was a 1936 graduate of Mount CarmelTownshipHigh School

Claire was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel and was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Mount Carmel.

On July 5, 1938 in Elkton, MD she married the late Dan Jurasich.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Carol Jurasich of Mount Carmel; one granddaughter Dianne Candelora and her husband Anthony of Mount Carmel; two grandsons, Jimmy Jurasich and his wife Eleanor and Jeff Jurasich and his wife Tanya all of Mount Carmel; five great granddaughters, Chrissy Candelora of Pittsburgh; Jenna Jurasich of North Carolina; Amber Miscavage of Mount Carmel; Samantha Miscavage of Cresson and Carly Jurasich of Kulpmont; three great grandsons, Anthony V. Candelora, Nicholas Miscavage and Justin Jurasich all of Mount Carmel as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald D. Jurasich and his wife Tina and James Jurasich and two brothers, Robert Smith and his wife Venita and Paul Smith and his wife Bernice.

Claire H. Jurasich, 99, of 330 West Fifth Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel with Reverend Joan Brown, officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mount Carmel Twp.  Viewing will be held Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J.
