Kulpmont - Clara B. Postal, 85, of 1028 Poplar Street, passed away Friday evening, February 16, 2018 at Geisinger Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville with her husband and sons by her side.

Born in Kulpmont on January 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Kozlowski) Bronkoski. She was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont and attended Kulpmont High School.

On April 26, 1952, in St. Casimir's Church Kulpmont she was married by Reverend A.T. Marcincavage to Robert P. Postal, who survives. Her death breaks a union of what would have been 66 years in April.

Clara, or Claire as she was known to friends, worked before her retirement as a seamstress most recently at Lady Hope in Kulpmont. After retirement, she worked as a child caregiver and volunteered at St. Casimir's and later Church of the Holy Angels.  She was physically active and once incapable of jogging, would be seen regularly walking at the local track and paths.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by two sons, Robert P. Postal Jr. and his wife Valerie of Lewistown and Jeffrey J. Postal of IA; four granddaughters, Robyn Batz and her husband Ryan of CT; Monica Dinsdale and her husband Jesse, Laura Trogdon and her husband Ryan and Marisa Postal all of IA; three grandsons, Adam Postal and his partner, Krista Catherine Kane of FL; Brent Postal and his wife Jessica of Bear Creek Twp and James Postal of IA; two great granddaughters, Alexa Batz and Sayler Trogdon; one great grandson, Barrett Batz; one sister, Joann Cherwinski and her husband Richard of Catawissa; two sisters-in-law, Alma Alexeyko of OH; and Eleanor Clauser of NJ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Donna (Yakacki) Postal and Kathleen (Stessman) Postal a sister, Cecelia Bozza and her husband Joseph, a sister-in-law, Anna Spears and her husband Vaughn and two brothers-in-law, Mike Alexeyko and John Clauser.  She is also survived by Biddy, her cat.  As a lover of animals, she knew every dog in Kulpmont by name.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Clara B. Postal, 85, of 1028 Poplar Street, Kulpmont - Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:00 am  in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights.  Viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 with a prayer service at 7:30 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, Supervisor.  Anyone wishing to attend the mass is asked to meet at the Church of the Holy Angels on Tuesday morning for the 10:00 am mass.
