Catawissa – Clement "Clem" P. Karlovich, 96, passed away September 6, 2021 at Sunset Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Atlas on February 10, 1925, the son of the late Peter and Petronella (Kiewlak) Karlovich.

Clem was a 1942 graduate of Mount Carmel Township High School. That same year he started working for the United States Army Quartermaster Department in Washington, D.C. He was last employed by the Social Security Administration from 1948 until his retirement in 1980.

Clem was a former member of Our Mother of Consolation Church, now Divine Redeemer Church. He was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Clem is survived by his nephew, Edward Karlovich, who was a live-in caregiver of Clem for the past 6 years; as well as many nieces and nephews. Clem was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Beatrice Vasilauskas, Edna Profit, Helen Trione, and Cecelia Chuprinski; and four brothers, Joseph Karlovich, Stanley Karlovich, Al Karlovich, and Frank Karlovich.

Clement "Clem" P. Karlovich, 96, of Catawissa – Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Ave. Mt. Carmel, PA with Father Ryan Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be held prior to the Mass from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with Transferal Prayers at 10 a.m. in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine Street, Mt. Carmel, PA, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
