Elysburg – Cynthia "Cindy" M. Drucis, 73, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born in Shamokin on March 21, 1948, the daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve (Narusiewicz) Drucis.

Cindy was a 1966 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and attained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University in 1970. She worked as a case worker for Northumberland County Board of Assistance and retired in 2006.

After she retired, Cindy volunteered her time and found great joy in helping the Carmelite Sisters of Elysburg and Danville. She was an Extraordinary Minister for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and sang in the Funeral Choir.

Cindy was the last surviving member of her family.

Cynthia "Cindy" M. Drucis, 73, Elysburg – Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 47 S. Market Street, Mt. Carmel PA with Father Francis Karwacki officiating. There will be no viewing. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA.
