Locust Gap - Daniel T. McCarthy, 50, of 236 Main St., passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Ashland on September 8, 1968, he was the son of the late William McCarthy and Janet (Reichwein) McCarthy, who survives.  He graduated from Mount Carmel High School.

On June 28, 1998 in Ashland he married Hope Guinn, who survives.

In addition to his Wife, Daniel is survived by his Mother, Janet Guzevich and her husband Vince of Mount Carmel; two daughters, Roxann Llewellyn and her husband Michael of Rock Glenn, and Randie Michael and her husband Justin of MO; one grandson, Levi Michael; two brothers, Kevin McCarthy and his wife Linda of Coal Township, and William McCarthy of Pottsville; three sisters, Teresa McCarthy of Locust Gap, Gina Lauer of Shickshinny, Michelle Kerner of Mount Carmel; four nephews, Sean McCarthy, Chad Lauer and his wife Hillary, Thom McCarthy, and Jon Kerner; four nieces, Candace Heintzleman and her husband Mike, Tricia Dietterick and her husband Dan, Kelly McCarthy, and Jessica Kerner. Daniel was preceded in death by his Father.
