Catawissa – Daniel Edwin Neyer, 69, of 138 N 2 ^nd St., passed away August 1, 2021, at his residence.

He was born in Lancaster on May 28, 1952, the son of Robert D. and Janice (Wenkenbach) Neyer.

Daniel was a 1970 graduate of Springfield Township High School, Montgomery County. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in English from Temple University in 1983 and attended the Delaware County Police Academy in 1987. Daniel worked as a police officer, a director of security, a private school teacher, and a writer/book reviewer.

On October 15, 1983 in Wilmington, DE, he married Linda Snyder, who survives. Together they shared 37 years of marriage.

He was a truly loving and beloved husband and father, a soldier of Christ, a witness of the Word of God, and a loving heart of fire, whose life was a miracle.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Linda Neyer of Catawissa; four sons, Daniel Joseph Neyer of Catawissa, Paul Thomas Neyer of Lewisburg, John Michael Neyer of Catawissa, and James Patrick Neyer of Catawissa; two daughters, May Catherine Neyer of Catawissa and Elizabeth Anne Neyer of Catawissa; a brother, Steven Neyer and wife, Jill of FL; a sister, Karen Neyer of Philadelphia; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Klick and husband, Dennis of MN; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Audrey (Thompson) Snyder; a sister-in-law, Nancy Gilpin; and a brother-in-law, Rich Glover.
