Atlas – Deborah L. (Macheski) Parrish, 71, of 402 E. Columbia Ave., passed away August 29, 2022 at her residence after a brief illness.

She was born in Shamokin on June 18, 1951, the daughter of Russell and Mary (Reiprich) Macheski.

Deborah was a life-long resident of Mount Carmel area and a 1969 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. She was employed as a stewardess after attending stewardess school. She worked for Hershey Medical Center, Mount Carmel Elementary and High School Cafeteria, Visintainer's Motel, and Knoebel's Gift Shops.

In 1982 she married Howard Parrish, who preceded her in death.

Deborah was an avid fan and former officer of the Mount Carmel Big Red Band and her favorite teams were the Mount Carmel Area Red Tornadoes and the Buffalo Bills. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to the beach, reading, and having coffee with family and friends. She was a lifelong benefactor to many charities, local and national. She had a kind heart for giving to those in need.

Deborah is survived by a son, Howard Parrish and partner, Savanna Ford; daughter, Jaclyn Myers and husband, Darron; four grandchildren, Carter, Hunter, Kace, and Mya; and best friends, Val Yentsch and Patti Menapace. In addition to her parents and husband, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother, Russell David Macheski.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Very Reverend Archpriest Father Michael Hutsko officiating in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In honor of Deborah's favorite color anyone attending the viewing is asked to wear red. Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday, September 2, 2022 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital, 100 N. Academy Ave. Danville, PA 17822.
