Kulpmont – Delfina (Greco) Gidaro of Chestnut Street, Kulpmont PA went home to the Angels and her beloved Husband Charlie on April 1, 2024.

Born on January 27, 1938 in Isca sullo Ionio, Catanzaro (region of Calabria), Italy, Delfina was the daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Varano) Greco.  After immigrating to America in 1958, Delfina married Charles J. Gidaro in St Paul's Church in Atlas in 1962.  Together, they owned Charlie's Pizza where every pizza was made fresh by Delfina.  Later in life, Delfina worked in the garment industry as a sewing machine operator in Kulpmont where she honed her skills as a master seamstress.

During retirement, she still spent time doing garment work for family and friends. Known for her pizza and her Italian cooking and baked goods, Delfina's refrigerators were always full and a hot, homemade meal would be on her table.  She loved everyone who came through her kitchen door which was always open for her family and friends. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels formerly a member of St. Casimir's Church, Kulpmont, ILGWU, St. Pauline Visintainer Center and Rosary group.

Delfina was blessed with two boys, Bruno S. Gidaro and his wife Lisa (Raybuck) Gidaro, and Charles "Chuck" Gidaro. Her grandchildren are Tyler Gidaro, Ryan "Oomps" Gidaro, Michael "Mike" Gidaro and Katherine "Katie" Gidaro.

Surviving Delfina are a sister Rosa (Greco) Dominijanni and a brother Saverio Greco along with several nieces, nephews and cousins, all whom she loved very much.

In addition to her parents, Delfina was preceded in death by her husband Charles, brothers: Amelio Greco, Romaldo Greco, Sisters: Sr. Elena Greco, Assunta (Greco) Mannello, Antoinette (1 yr old), and stillborn twin siblings.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, April 12, at 11 a.m., with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St, Kulpmont, PA 17834. Burial will follow in the St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. Visitation will be held in the Church from 9 a.m. until the time of mass.
