Mount Carmel – Domnica (Gasca) Sabadis, 83, of 351 S. Willow St. Apt 205, passed away January 21, 2022 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born in Romania on October 14, 1938, the daughter of Nicolae and Maria (Hotaranu) Gasca.

Domnica had her Master's Degree in History Education and worked as teacher in Romania for 35 years.

On March 12, 1960 she married Leonid Sabadis, who survives.

Optimistic by nature, Domnica loved poetry, music, life, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Domnica is survived by her husband, Leonid Sabadis of Mount Carmel; daughter, Mirend Matukaitis of Mount Carmel; granddaughter, Roxana Guerra of NY; grandson, Gabriel Matukaitis of Trevorton; and a sister, Elena Cumpanasu, of Romania. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Alexander; and a sister.
