Danville - Dorothy H. (Seroskie) Chesney, 100, of Emmanuel Center, died Thursday, January 25, 2018.

Born in Shamokin on July 9, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Tricoskie) Seroskie. She attended St. Stanislaus Grade School in Shamokin.

She was married to the late Harry Chesney on August 17, 1946 in St. Stanislaus Church.

She was a member of the Divine Redeemer Church in Mount Carmel, the former Our Mother of Consolation Church, a member of the Rosary Society, MCCW Catholic Women and Senior Citizens.

She touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed. Family and friends were Dorothy's passion and delight.

Survivors include a son, Richard Chesney and his wife Shirley of Kulpmont; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Strine and her husband Jon of Elysburg, widow of Nicholas Bogush, son of Dorothy Chesney; three grandchildren, Richard Chesney of Maryland; Michael Bogush of Paxinos and Steven Bogush of Philadelphia; and soon to be great grandmother to the daughter of Richard and Jennifer Chesney. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Bogush, six brothers, Alphonse, Chester, Daniel, Jerome, Lawrence and Thomas and five sisters, Gertrude Nolan, Florence Williams, Violet Zabroski, Margaret Kraft and Rose Marie in infancy.

Dorothy H. Chesney, 100, of Emmanuel Center, Danville - Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11:00 am  in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Father Martin O. Moran III, officiating. Burial will be in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mount Carmel Twp.  Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 - 10:45 with transferal prayers at 10:00 in the C.J.
