Dorothy Kroeschel, 69, of 228 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, passed away November 2, 2023, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.

She was born in Newark, NJ, on August 22, 1954, a daughter of the late George Kroeschel.

Dorothy attended school in New Jersey. She worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Patel in Newark, NJ. Dorothy  lived in Orefield, PA and resided in the Shamokin area for the past 17 years.

Dorothy was a member of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed picnicing and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know them.

Dorothy is survived by a son, William Kroeschel of Shamokin; two daughters, Angelique Weimert and husband, Steven of Pottsville and Vanessa Ortega and husband, Cristian of Newark, NJ; four grandsons, Kody Kroeschel, Jimmy Tinker, Christian Ortega, and George Ortega; two granddaughters, Aidan Grommett and Elsa Ortega; a great-granddaughter, Alice Tinker; and a daughter, Allison Hillhouse and husband, Joseph. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Rosa Diaz.

Funeral Service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851 to help defray funeral expenses.
