Kulpmont – Earl R. Frye, 87, formerly of 301 N. 6th St., passed away December 11, 2023, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

He was born in Kulpmont on January 15, 1936, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Steele-Weir) Frye.

Earl was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont. He attended Wilson School and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, class of 1954. Earl worked in local factories and also as a bartender.

Earl was a member of Kulpmont Methodist Church.

Earl is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and was the last member of nine children, Albert Frye, Edith Yordy, Franklin Frye, Renee Persing, Herbert Frye, Bruce Frye, Ruth Frye, and Walter Frye. Earl's grandfather, John Weir, was the first postmaster of Kulpmont Post Office.

Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Kulpmont First United Methodist Church, 1 North 9th Street, Kulpmont, PA 17834.
