Mount Carmel - Edward C. Pryzie, 99, of 202 West Fourth Street, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.

Born in Mount Carmel on March 1, 1919, he was the son of the late  Leo and Anna (Stashinski) Pryzblinski.  Edward was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School and a member of the Church of Our Lady in Mount Carmel.

On July 19, 1941 in Church of Our Lady, Mount Carmel he married the late Josephine O'Gara who preceded him in death on June 16, 2004.

He was employed at Merck in Danville.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Fetterman and her husband, Arthur of Mount Carmel; a son Edward Pryzie and his wife Pamela of Mechanicsburg; four granddaughters, Pamela Laughlin and her husband, Michael of Mount Carmel; Karen Iwanski and her husband Kevin of Coal Township; Stephanie Stinson and her husband Jeffrey of Harrisburg and Michelle Pryzie of Mechanicsburg; one grandson, David Hughes and his wife Danielle of Mount Carmel; three great grandsons and eight great granddaughters as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Hughes and her husband David and a sister, Lillian Mathias and her husband Joseph.

Edward C. Pryzie, 99, of 202 West Fourth Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 12:30 pm in Church of Our Lady, 47 South Market Street, Mount Carmel with Father Francis Karwacki, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mount Carmel Twp.  Viewing will be held Friday from 11:00 am - 12:15 pm in the C.J.
