Edward A. Yablonski, 87, of Celebration Village Forsyth in Suwanee, Georgia, and formerly of Heritage Hunt retirement community in Gainesville, Virginia passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024.

Ed was born in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania in 1936, the son of Zigmond and Lottie (Koveleski) Yablonski, and graduated from Kulpmont High School in 1953.  Throughout his life he did many things, the most joyful being telling stories, "some true, some not," to his grandchildren, Emily and Ryan. He was fun loving and enjoyed life to its fullest, especially if it involved fishing or cheering for the University of Texas Longhorns.

After high school, he served in the Navy for four years. In 1958 he married Julia, the love of his life, and they set off on an exciting and adventurous life together. He worked for The United States Air Force Security Service, graduated from the University of Texas School of Engineering, worked in research at Bell Telephone Laboratories, became a licensed registered Professional Engineer, was an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Monmouth College, was Director of Marketing at AT&T International, Vice President of Engineering at American Mobile Satellite Corporation, and Founder and CEO of Innovative Telecom International.  He and Julia traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally, enjoying and cherishing every moment. He wants everyone to make his passing a celebration, remembering his happy spirit and love of life.

He is preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and spouse of 60 years, Julia (Molesevich) Yablonski. They are survived by their son Mark Yablonski of Kansas City, Missouri, daughter, Karen Carroll and her husband, Bill of Cumming, Georgia, grandchildren, Emily Carroll and Ryan Carroll, brother-in-law Joseph and wife Patricia Molesevich, sister-in-law Doris Yablonski whose husband and Ed's brother Donald preceded him in death, as well as Doris and Don's children Paul Yablonski, Brian Yablonski, Donna Maroney, and Douglas Yablonski. He also leaves behind beloved cousins (the "Angels"), relatives from Julia's family, and many friends from their time living in Pennsylvania, Texas, New Jersey, Virginia, and Georgia.

Ed was grateful for the excellent medical care he received.  He and his family would like to thank his doctors, nurses, and everyone involved in his care at Celebration Village, Northside Hospital, Davita Dialysis, and Agape Hospice.  Ed made many friends during his lifetime.  He hopes they remember his positive attitude as well as a few of his stories.

Parastas Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 5th with Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Hutsko officiating in the C J Lucas Funeral Home, 27 North Vine Street, Mt. Carmel PA 17851, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow with committal prayers in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 172 All Saints Rd. Elysburg, PA, 17824. After the internment, a luncheon will be held at Masser's Restaurant, 5281 PA Highway 61, Paxinos, PA 17860. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Ed's name to Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 N. Beech St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851.
