Eleanor M. Gillichbauer, 92, of Coal Township, passed away on May 28, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born on June 16, 1931, in Coal Township, the daughter of the late Robert D. and Susan E. (Walburn) Gillichbauer.

Eleanor attended Coal Township Schools. She lived in Oxford, NJ, from 1988-2000.

Eleanor was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ and was also a member of ARC. Eleanor was a caregiver for her two brothers, Lawrence and Russell.

Eleanor is survived by a sister, Helen Kalejta of Coal Twp.; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her siblings, Ann Goss, Fred Gillichbauer, Lawrence Gillichbauer, Russell Gillichbauer, Pauline Snyder, Donald Gillichbauer, Janet Karcher, Robert Gillichbauer Jr., Albert Gillichbauer, and three siblings who passed away in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at noon with Rev. Joan Brown officiating in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine Street, Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Gowen City. Viewing will be held on Thursday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home.
