Marion Heights – Eleanor M. Slack, 84, of 118 West North St., passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Grandview Nursing & Rehabilitation, Danville.

Eleanor was born on August 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Pupo) Miriello.

She was a graduate of Kulpmont High School and worked as the Postmaster of Marion Heights Post Office.

On November 15, 1958, she married Robert M. Slack, who preceded here in death on January 2, 1991.

Eleanor was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels.

Eleanor is survived by three nieces, Alexis Pochekailo and husband, Jeff Rothermel of Shamokin, Elianne Henderson and companion, Randy Smith of Shamokin, and Joanne Glosek of Allentown; and a nephew, Joseph Glosek and wife, Nyvia of Allentown. In addition to her husband, and parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Marie Pochekailo and husband, Walter and Anna Mae Glosek and husband, Joseph; a brother, Anthony Miriello; and a nephew, Robert Pochekailo.

Slack, 84, of 118 West North St., Marion Heights – Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 in The Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, PA with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Marion Heights. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the C. J.
