Fort Lauderdale , FL - Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Fasolka died suddenly on June 4 at her home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She was born December 21, 1953, at ShamokinHospital to Geraldine B. Buggy Fasolka and the late Michael Fasolka of Kulpmont, PA.

Beth attended Ukrainian Catholic Schools in Marion Heights and Shamokin, PA and graduated in 1971 from Mt. Carmel High School.

She worked in Harrisburg for the State and later for Bell Telephone prior to moving to Florida in 1974.  She held several jobs and earned several certifications in the healthcare field while living in Florida.  Her most recent employment was with Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale where she served as an EKG technician from 1998 until the time of her death.

Beth was a kind and generous human being who loved a good joke, a game of tennis, a good meal, and connecting with the people she loved most - her family. She had a great sense of humor, she was frugal but generous to those in need.  Beth loved music, singing, and playing the guitar.  She loved animals especially the ducks and iguanas she fed that visited along the canal behind her condo.  Beth loved life and lived it freely with faith and honesty.  She worked hard and disliked being bored.  She faithfully called her Mom every evening at 6:00 pm just to check in.

Beth is survived by her mother, Geraldine of Kulpmont, PA; brother, Michael and his wife, Sherry, of Pennsburg, PA; nephew, Michael John and wife Jill of Rockville, MD; niece, Sarah and husband David and children, Grace, Richard and Claire of Mt. Joy, PA; sister, Karen of Mt. Carmel, PA and niece, Megan of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Fran Fasolka, IHM of Scranton, PA; an aunt Alberta Sickora of Coal Township; and cousins, friends, and co-workers.

Beth is greatly missed by her family who celebrate her life and her eternal life with her God. She is held in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her...until we meet again.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Fasolka of Fort Lauderdale, FL - Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to a memorial mass to be celebrated at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 North Beech Street, Mount Carmel on Saturday, June 30, at 10:00 am with the Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Hutsko, presiding.  Visitation with the family will follow mass in the church from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon.  Burial at All Saints Cemetery in Elysburg, PA will be held at a later date.  C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, Supervisor is assisting the family with arrangements.
