Kulpmont – Eugene "Gene" T. Glowacki, 92, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born on December 29, 1928 in Mount Carmel, the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Kuhar) (Glowacki) Novakoski.

Gene was a Veteran of the Korean War and received the Combat Infantry Medal. After his service, he joined his uncle Ed at the Glowacki Brothers Grocery Store in Mount Carmel where he worked for 29 years. He retired in 1983 and moved to Elysburg.

He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mt. Carmel, the American Legion Post 231, Kulpmont, and a life member of the Anthracite Steam Fire Co. No. 1, Mt. Carmel.

Gene is survived by his brother-in-law, Henry Kulik of Lansdale; sister, Evelyn (Novakoski) Confair of Camp Hill; brother, Francis Novakoski of New Cumberland; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gene was preceded in death by his step-father, Edward J. Novakoski; two sisters, Eleanor (Glowacki) Kulik and Lorraine (Glowacki) Crossley and husband, Richard; a nephew, Joseph Crossley; a brother-in-law, Daniel Confair Sr.; and sister-in-law, Anne (Larkin) Novakoski.

Eugene "Gene" T. Glowacki, 92, Kulpmont – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 W. Ave., Mt. Carmel with Father Ryan Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Divine Redeemer Church at 438 W. Ave., Mt.
