DERBY, CT – Eugene J. Yavorsky, 93, of 295 David Humphrey's Road, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021.

He was born in Mount Carmel, PA on March 26, 1928, the son of the late Prokofy and Elizabeth (Tartar) Yavorsky.

Eugene was a 1946 graduate of Mount Carmel Township High School. He worked in shipping/receiving for the garment industry and proudly served his country in the United States Army post-World War II.

Eugene was a resident of Mount Carmel, PA until 2015 when he moved to Connecticut. He was a member of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church, Mount Carmel, PA; American Legion Post 804 Atlas, PA; and the VFW in Mount Carmel, PA.

Eugene is survived by his brother-in-law - Donald Klischer; three nieces – Andrea Daeubler (Neil), Donna Petzold (Charles), and Lisa Klischer; one nephew – David Yavorsky; two great nieces – Kirsten Daeubler and Alexa Yavorsky; two great nephews – Gregory Petzold (Meghan) and James Yavorsky, as well as a great-great-niece – Elizabeth Petzold and a great-great-nephew – William Petzold. In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Klischer; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew Yavorsky (Jacqueline); and companion, Clara Keretski.
