Kulpmont - Florence L. Willard, 79 formerly of Roosevelt Court passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Kulpmont on June 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Parella) Willard. She attended Kulpmont Elementary Grade School and was a 1956 graduate of Kulpmont High School.  She was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont.

Florence was employed as a kitchen employee at Shamokin Area Community Hospital retiring in 2003.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont, the Senior Citizens also of Kulpmont and American Legion Auxiliary. Florence loved watching the Phillies baseball team and going to yard sales.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Ann Balonis of Kulpmont; two nephews, Robert Balonis and his wife Brenda of Northumberland and Wayde Savidge and his wife Jennifer of New York; three nieces, Colette Kramer of Berwick, Michelle Schultz and her husband TJ of Mount Carmel and Nancy Ciccarelli and her husband Tom of Danville; as well as several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Willard Johnson and her husband Bobby and Gloria Savidge and her husband Roy.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Florence L. Willard, 79 of Kulpmont - Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11 am in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Marion Heights.  Viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 - 10:45 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, C.J.
