Frances Mary Jablonski, 81, of Northumberland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Nottingham Nursing Home, after a long illness.

Fran was born on June 2, 1942, the second of four daughters of Leo and Helen (Marut) Jablonski. She lived most of her life in Atlas.

She graduated from Our Mother of Consolation Parochial School and Mount Carmel High School, Class of 1960.
Frances lived in Harrisburg for about the last 30 years. She was a civilian employee of the Pa. State Police at its headquarters in Harrisburg. Prior to that, she had worked as a secretary at Sunbury Community Hospital and WISL Radio Station, in Shamokin.

Fran is survived by her sisters, Cynthia Evitts, of Northumberland, and Gloria Leschinskie, of Sunbury; nieces, Lisa (Donald) Ciocco, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Denise (Charles) Snyder, of Coal Township; nephews, Steven (Betsy) Evitts, of Camp Hill, Christopher Evitts, of Northumberland, and William Culp Sr., of Watsontown; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her sister, Caroline Morgan; brothers-in-law, Walter Leschinskie, Ronald Morgan and Jerry Evitts; and a niece, Maria Evitts Culp.

Fran was an avid reader and animal lover.

All are welcome to the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at noon with Father Bernard Wamayose, A. J., officiating in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 W. Ave., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851. There will be no visitation, and burial will follow in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp.
