Mount Carmel - Frank J. Mostik Jr., 59, of 401 North Oak Street, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Shamokin on March 6, 1959 he is the son of the late Frank and Mary (Mekosh) Mostik. He was born and raised in Atlas and graduated high school from Our Lady of Lourdes Regional in 1977.

On May 13, 1978 in Saint Anthony's Church of Ranshaw he married the former Lori Kozar with whom he remained close and always shared a loving bond.

Following high school he was an Auto Body Mechanic at Alexander's. He also worked for Kerris & Helfrick and Rosini Coal Company. He and his brother took over their father's small garbage route and turned it into Mostik Bros. Disposal.

Frank had many hobbies, including being a softball pitcher for Pinamonti's, Centralia, and West End AC. He also participated in the Inner City & Shenandoah Fast Pitch League. He was a collector and restorer of classic cars. An avid dog lover, he was preceded in death by Bob and is survived by Woof aka Billie Jean, and Mona. He was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Atlas Legion Post 804, Brady Fire Company, and the Sons of Poland - Mount Carmel.

He is survived by his former wife, Lori Mostik of Coal Township; a son, Frank Mostik III of Coal Township; two daughters Stephanie Lubeskie of Coal Township, and Nicole Jilinski and her husband Robert of Kulpmont; a granddaughter, Carly Lubeskie; a grandson, Cole Jilinski; a brother, Kevin Mostik and his wife Kara of Elysburg; a sister, Mary Ellen Mostik of Atlas; a sister-in-law, Cindy Rebuck; a brother-in-law, Michael and his wife Marion Kozar; four nephews, Kevin Mostik, Kyle Mostik, Robbie Kozar, and Michael Kozar; two nieces, Kristin Reed, and Loren Kozar; two aunts, Anna Budraitis of Texas and Helen Ruger of Blaisdell New York; and his Companion Gloria Mirarchi Blusius of Shamokin. Along with his parents Frank and Mary Mostik, Frank was preceded in death by his Father-in-law, Robert Kozar, his mother-in-law Joan Kozar, his brother-in-law, Robbie Kozar, and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

Mostik Jr., 59, of 401 North Oak Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Reverend Martin O. Moran III, Officiating. Burial will be held in All Saint Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with vigil prayers at 7:00 pm with Father Ryan Fischer, Officiating and Thursday morning from 9:00 - 10:45 am with transferal prayers at 10:00 am in the C.J.
