Fred L. Dallabrida, of Elysburg, and former resident of Atlas, Mount Carmel, and Mayberry Township, passed away suddenly at home with his wife Eleanor by his side on Saturday, August 19, 2023.

He was born in Atlas, the son of the late Edward and Eleanor T. (Lubeski) Dallabrida. Fred was the beloved husband of Eleanor C. (O'Connor) Dallabrida, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.

Fred graduated from Mount Carmel High School and was a teacher and Junior High Principal in the Mount Carmel Areas School District for 34 years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Education Degrees from Bloomsburg University and his Principal Certification from Bucknell University. At Mount Carmel Area, Fred taught civics, PA history, and contemporary events.

Fred loved hunting, hiking, and the great outdoors. He was an avid reader of non-fiction and enjoyed attending various cultural and sporting events, especially Bucknell Bison Basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, and was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Father Francis Karwacki officiating in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. There will be no viewing. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
