Mount Carmel – Geraldine "Deanie" (Kolovich) Wychock, 87, of 334 N. Oak St., passed away on February 21, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Mount Carmel on February 29, 1936, the daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Galitski) Kolovich.

Geraldine was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, class of 1953. She was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel. Geraldine worked as a seamstress at Humberland Dress Company and as a bus aide for Mount Carmel School District.

On April 27, 1957, in Our Mother of Consolation Church, she married Daniel R. Wychock Jr., who preceded her in death on September 20, 2011.

Geraldine was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, formerly Our Mother of Consolation Church. She loved and was very proud of her grandchildren.

Geraldine is survived by a son, Gary D. Wychock of Mount Carmel; a daughter, Paula M. Dougherty of Lititz; a grandson, Joey Dougherty of Los Angeles, CA; a granddaughter, Deena Dougherty of NYC; and a special cousin, Sandy Toy of Mount Carmel; as well as many other cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A J officiating in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 W. Ave, Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, from 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with transferal prayers at 10 a.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St. Mt.
