Mount Carmel – Gloria Matzura, 78, of 407 N Locust Street, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 in her home.

Born in Mount Carmel on April 2, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Florian and Marcella (Prophit) Conetta. She graduated from Catholic High School in 1961.

On July 1, 1961 in St. Peters Church she married Gerald J. Matzura who preceded her in death. She worked as a seamstress, and she worked at the community pharmacy in Mount Carmel, retiring in 2016. She was a member of Church of Our Lady.

Gloria is survived by a son, Gerald Matzura of Mount Carmel; a daughter, Debbie Wolfe and her husband, Vern from Collegeville; granddaughter, Hali Matzura of LA; a brother, Fredrick Conetta and his wife, Julie Ann of Kulpmont; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Isabelle Matzura.
