Elysburg - Harlan L. Ross, 57, of 612 West Valley Avenue, died suddenly Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Shamokin on March 7, 1961 he was the son of the late Harlan L. and Miriam (Hoagland) Ross Sr. He was a graduate of Southern Columbia High School and went on to receive a degree as a mechanical engineer and electrician

He was currently employed as a project manager for Mallard Contracting, working as a mechanical engineer and electrician, he also was a self-employed electrician, an EMT with Sunbury Community Hospital, he also served as a Ralpho Township constable.

On August 20, 1994 in the United Lutheran Church, Sunbury he married the love of his life the former Stacy Horne, who survives. Together they celebrated 24 years of marriage.

Harlan was an active member of the United Lutheran Church at Seven Points Road, where he was a member of the Church Council for many years.

Harlan was a scuba diving instructor and loved open water dives. He worked sound and played keyboard, opening for many bands, including Def Leppard. He enjoyed traveling, jogging, competing in professional motocross and spending time with his wife and family.

In addition to his wife, Stacy, he is survived by a brother, Robert Wynn and his wife of GA; mother-in-law, Sandra Bogart of Elysburg; sister-in-law, Tammy Griffin and her husband Arthur of MA and their twins, Evan and Ryan Griffin as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Mike Wynn, a sister Pamela Ross and father-in-law Tage Damgaard.

Harlan L. Ross, 57, of 612 West Valley Avenue, Elysburg - A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00 am in United Lutheran Church, 167 Seven Points Road, Sunbury with Reverend Andrew Weaver, officiating.  Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.  A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, Supervisor and Tuesday morning from 10:00 until the time of service in United Lutheran Church, 167 Seven Points Road, Sunbury.
