OBITUARY

Burke , VA - Helen M. (Kijewski) Yodzis, 90, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Heatherwood Retirement Community in Burke, VA.

Born in Mount Carmel on April 19, 1929, she was the daughter of late Stephen and Alexandra (Ostrowski) Kijewski.

Helen was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School.

She married Edward A. Yodzis in Our Mother of Consolation Church and spent her time as homemaker.

Helen is survived by six nieces, Alexia Griffin of Frisco, TX, Diane Coady of Oklahoma City, OK,

Eileen Goldschmidt of Woodbridge, VA, Melanie Patrinicola of Bel Air, MD, Eleanor Dallabrida of Elysburg, PA and Kathleen Schuller of Brandon, MS; and a nephew, Barry Yodzis of Friendswood, TX. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Keyes and sister, Stanislausa Urban.

Helen M. (Kijewski) Yodzis, 90, Burke, VA - Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Ave. Mount Carmel, PA, with Father Frank Karwacki officiating. Burial will follow in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Mount Carmel Township, PA 17851. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. with Vigil Prayers at 9:15 a.m. in the C.
