Mount Carmel – Henry A. Lindenmuth, 86, of 233 W. Girard St., passed away suddenly on December 29, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in Catawissa on August 17, 1936, the son of the late Henry Ambrose Lindenmuth and Dorothy (Fisher) Lindenmuth.

Henry was a graduate of Catawissa High School. He was in the Airforce for 20 years 9 months and 15 days and was employed by Homeland Security and also worked in Civil Service. Henry moved around and lived in Nebraska, Reno, NV, and Tallahassee, FL until 2008 when he moved back to the Mount Carmel area.

On May 29, 1974, he married the former Cheryl L. Parrish in Nebraska. Together they shared 48 years of marriage.

Henry was a proud member of the NRA, the Masons, and various bowling leagues. Fishing was his passion and he also enjoyed watching Monday Night RAW wrestling matches. He loved and cherished his time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Henry is survived by his wife, Cheryl L. Lindenmuth; daughter, Cathy Dykes; son, Mark Burnette; three grandchildren, Dylan Ammons, Mallory Dykes, and Legend Aydelotte; two sisters, Opal Showers and Martha L. Hart; a cousin, Travis Kraatz; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by five sisters, Cora Mae Etherdge, Vivian Hope Hampton, Barbara Adele Kyle, Wanda Lee Millard, and Leona Lucille Frunk; and two brothers, Nevin Earl Lindenmuth and Charles Lindenmuth.

He will be truly missed by his wife, family, and neighbors.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 7 p.m. with Joseph Tamburro as celebrant in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, supervisor. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home.
