Irene Andreatti, 94, formerly from Kulpmont, passed away on Friday, November 8th at the Mt. Carmel Senior Living Community.

She was born on May 10, 1930, a daughter of the late Ben and Rose Shedleski.

Irene was a 1948 graduate of Kulpmont High School. She was a retired seamstress.

On June 9th, 1951, she married Evo Andreatti, who preceded her in death. They had a long and loving marriage for 63 years.

Irene was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, formerly St. Casimir's Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, played a key role in starting BINGO at the newly formed Church of the Holy Angels in 1996, and volunteered at Church picnics.

Irene is survived by a son, Evo Andreatti Jr. of Bear Gap; two daughters, Cindy Lees and her husband, Marcus Williams of Lansdowne and Sandy Andreatti and husband, Dr. Bennett Preston of Ambler; two grandchildren, Juli Fegley and Evo Andreatti III; two great grandsons; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Irene Andreatti-Sexton; and all twelve of her siblings.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14th, at noon with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury. Visitation will be held in the Church on Thursday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
