Kulpmont – Irene (Augustine) Pupo peacefully departed this life at the young age of 92 on February 19, 2021 at the Mount Carmel Senior Living Community. She was a long-time resident of Kulpmont, PA.

Irene was a dedicated member of Holy Angels Parish, Kulpmont where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.  Her Christian life was as beautiful as the family that she loved so deeply.

She will forever be cherished in the lives of her children including a son, Joe (& Cindy) Pupo of Texas; a daughter, Mary Beth (& Mark) Moyer of Douglassville; and a daughter-in-law, Gina Pupo of Dauphin. Irene's most prized accomplishments were her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Anthony (& Marie) Pupo, Matthew Pupo, Stephanie (& Nick) Bader, Tabitha (& Peyton) Tallman, Emily, Madeline and Samantha Pupo, Jayson and Joey Moyer, Everett and Jude Bader, Paul Pupo, and Archer Tallman. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Olaf of Danville; two sisters-in-law, Joann Mudry (& Thomas) of Mt. Carmel and Verna Augustine of Danville; as well as several nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as Aunt "Reenie." Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph R. Pupo; and her son, Paul J. Pupo.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Irene (Augustine) Pupo, 92, of Kulpmont – Family burial services will be held privately. A Memorial Mass to honor Irene's life will be celebrated at a later date in the Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont. If desired, memorial contributions can be made on her behalf to the Paul J. Pupo Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/O Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, 2001 Clinton Ave, Coal Township, PA 17866. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and CNA's at Mt.
