Mount Carmel - Jack W. Pensyl, 74, of 184 Greco Lane, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 surrounded by his family at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Mount Carmel on December 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Ellsworth and Lillian (Dietrick) Pensyl.

He was employed at the Washington Hebrew Congregation (Temple and School) as a building and ground superintendent; prior to that he worked as a grounds superintendent in Arlington National Cemetery.

On June 20, 1964 in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mount Carmel he married the former Dorothy Potochney, who survives.

He was educated in Winchester High School in Virginia and attended military school at Augusta Military Academy.

He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy he is survived by a son, Dan Pensyl and his wife Paula of MD; a daughter, Donna Goldberg and her husband Ross of FL; two grandsons, Quinn Goldberg of FL and Jake Pensyl of MD; one granddaughter, Megan Goldberg of FL; two sisters, Mary and Diane; a sister-in-law, Marie Bosevich; three nephews, Nick, Joey and Bob and two nieces, Giana and Diane. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pensyl, 74, of 184 Greco Lane, Mount Carmel - Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 am in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 North Beech Street, Mount Carmel with Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Hutsko, officiating.  Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Mount Carmel Twp.  Viewing will be held Thursday morning from 8:45 - 10:45 with Panakhyda at 10:00 in the C.J.
