Schuylkill Haven – Jacqueline A. (Socoloski) Wanzie, 98, passed away on October 3, 2024, at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Atlas on June 29, 1926, the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Bianchi) Socoloski.

In St. Paul's Chapel, Atlas, she married the late Walter Wanzie. Together, they shared 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2013.

Jacqueline was a member of Divine Redeemer Church in Mt. Carmel.

Jacquline is survived by her daughter, Margaret (John) Serakas of Schuylkill Haven; a son, Bruce (Kay Ann) Wanzie of Souderton; three grandsons, Bruce (Jeris) Wanzie, Walter Wanzie, and John (Tiffany) Serakas; three granddaughters, Kay J. (Shayne) Bevilacqua, Tiffany (J.P.) Cipriani, and Laura (Kevin) Serakas-Snyder; 7 great-grandchildren, Havilah Canfield, Eden Wanzie, Brittany Schleicher, Kylie Schleicher, Johanna Snyder, Willow Snyder, Ayla Wanzie, and Kyden Wanzie; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Jacqueline was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Peter (Mary) Wanzie; two sisters, Mary Rita Socoloski and Ramona (Percival) Pranskaitis; two brothers, Jerome (Dolores) Socoloski and Leonard (Jean) Socoloski; a granddaughter, Rachael Ann Serakas; two brothers-in-law, Edwin (Michalene) Wanzie and Louis Wanzie; and four sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Frank) Dembski, Helen (Frank) Dakshaw, Katherin (Michael) O'Malley, and Emily (John) Dec.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Wamayose, A. J., officiating in Divine Redeemer Church, Mt. Carmel. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with transferal prayers at 10 a.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc. 27 N.
