Mount Carmel - Jane Louise Poplaski, 73, of 316 North Hickory Street, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Mountain View a Nursing & Rehab Center, Coal Township.

Born in Shamokin State Hospital on April 10, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Caroline (Hornberger) Slotterback. She was a 1963 graduate of Mount Carmel High School.

She suffered with Parkinson's Disease for the last 26 years.

She was last employed at Tri-State Envelope in Ashland.

On September 2, 1967 in the former Our Mother of Consolation Church, Mount Carmel she married Robert J. Poplaski, who survives.

Jane was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel. She was an Elvis Presley fan and collector of Elvis memorabilia.

In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by a son, Robert Poplaski Jr. and his wife Rita of Kulpmont; a daughter, Christine Poplaski and her fiancé Ken Thomas of Pottsville; five grandchildren, Johnathan, Dean, Gabrielle, Rebecca and Breanna; five great grandchildren, Emma, Zoi, Connor, Oliver and Colton; a brother, Lear Slotterback and his wife Barbara of Cogan Station and a sister, Donna Owens and her husband, William of Fountain Springs as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Merle and William and two sisters, Nancy and June.

Jane was a caring and loving woman who always put her children and husband first and herself second. She will be missed deeply by all.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Jane Louise Poplaski, 73, of 316 North Hickory Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Father Martin O. Moran III, officiating.  Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.  Viewing will be held Tuesday morning from 8:30 - 9:45 with transferal prayers at 9:15 in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation & Movement Disorder Center, University of PA, 330 South Ninth Street, Third Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
