Kulpmont – Jason E. Schera, 55, of 934 Chestnut Street, passed away on October 12, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Reading on September 28, 1970, to Enos and Bonnie (Arbogast) Schera.

Jason attended the Twin Valley School District. Over the years, he lived in Reading and Mountville before residing in the Kulpmont area for the past 18 years. He enjoyed going to yard sales and attending flea markets.

Jason was proud to have celebrated 21 years of sobriety and regularly attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in Mount Carmel. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Flyers.

Jason is survived by his parents, Enos Schera and his wife, Bonnie of Ashland; a brother, Matthew J. Schera of Greenwich, CT; a sister-in-law, Janine Schera; three nieces, Allison, Alexis, and Jessica; a girlfriend, Susan Angelo of Shamokin; and his beloved cat, Doodles.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the C J Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, PA, C J Lucas IV, Supervisor.
