Elysburg – Jeanette Butaitis, 86, of 173 Hillside Ave., passed away May 4, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Mount Carmel on August 1, 1936, the daughter of Edward and Cecilia (Strike) Hook.

On April 29, 1964 she married the late William V. Butaitis in Upper Darby, PA.

Jeanette enjoyed spending time attending her children's numerous athletic and recreational activities, playing cards with her family, spending time with her beloved pets, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and watching football games. She had a wonderful sense of humor that will be dearly missed.

Jeanette is survived by her three adult children, Vincent Butaitis (Jessica Makowski), Cecelia Witt, and Stephen Butaitis (Wendy Roach). She is also survived by six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in care of C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine Street, Mt. Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
