Mount Carmel – Dr. John J.P. Baksi, 85, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Danville on September 18, 1936 he was the son of the late John L. and Anna B. (Wargo) Baksi. He graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial High School in Kulpmont in 1954. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1959. He owned his own Chiropractic Business and he owned and operated JB's Catering service.

John served in the United States Army. He was a 4 ^th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Church of the Holy Angels, formerly Our Lady of Perpetual Help. John was a board member of state and welfare department. He served as secretary of the Mount Carmel Area Industrial Fund.

He was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles, and Mount Carmel Football.

John is survived by his companion, Rosanne Yuschock of Mount Carmel; a step-granddaughter, Lilian Yuschock; a brother, David Baksi and his wife, Elaine of Marion Heights; a sister, Marianne Millard and her husband, Donald of Mount Carmel; a nephew, David Baksi and his wife, Christine; four nieces, Alison Reuter and her husband, Timothy, Adrienne O'Brien and her husband, Matthew, Kristen Fourspring and her husband, Keith, and Lauren Jones and her husband, Derek; four great nephews, Samuel Baksi, Weston Reuter, Franklin O'Brien, Jack Jones, and Beau Fourspring; five great nieces, Hannah Fourspring, Tessa Fourspring, Alana Reuter, Audrey Reuter, and Annabelle O'Brien; and many cousins. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a niece, Brianna Millard; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Dr. John J.P. Baksi, 85, of Mount Carmel – Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating at Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont. Burial will be held following the service at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Marion Heights. Visitation will be held prior to the service in the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Arrangements are being cared for by C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
