Marion Heights – John Bartol, 66, of 515 East Melrose St., passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Danville on August 14, 1954, the son of the late John C. and Anna (Ridilla) Bartol.

John was a graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School. He worked as a machine operator in a factory.

On September 20, 1980 in St. Casimir's Church, he married Lucinda Shiko, who survives. Together they shared 40 years of marriage.

He was member of the Church of the Holy Angels, as well as an active member of many social clubs including the Kulpmont Lions Club and the Marion Heights Fire Company. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Lucinda Bartol of Marion Heights; two sons, John Joseph Bartol II and companion, Melissa Ortona of Den Mar Gardens and Dr. Kyle Bartol and wife, Janice of MD; a daughter, Bryana K. Bartol of Forty Fort; a brother, Joseph J. Bartol and wife, Elaine of Den Mar Gardens; two nieces, Brooke Bartol and Brittany Backer and husband, Derrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Kerren Shiko; an uncle, Alfred Bartol; and two aunts, Marie Bartol and Irene Gurba and husband, John.

John Bartol, 66, of 515 East Melrose St., Marion Heights – Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, PA 17834.
