Ashland - John Anthony Lupotsky, 70, passed away Tuesday morning at Geisinger Bloomsburg.

Born on November 1, 1953, John was the son of the late John and Irene (Lewellis) Lupotsky, former residents of Centralia.

John attended Catholic schools and was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School. He was of the Catholic faith.

John was a coal delivery truck driver in his earlier years, and he was a great provider for his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing his accordion. After being exiled from Centralia, John built a home for his family in Mount Carmel. He enjoyed cooking gourmet soups, as well as ethnic Ukrainian and Polish dishes.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Lupotsky. Survivors include three sons and a daughter, David and his wife, Angelique of Lewisburg, Brian and his wife, Meghan of Pottstown, Matthew and his wife, Andrea of Elysburg, his daughter Michelle Edinger and her husband, Jordan of Boneau, SC, and grandchildren, Autumn (Lupotsky) Gardner and her husband, Rhett, Jacob, Charlotte, and Emily Lupotsky, and Aubree and Trey Edinger. Other survivors are a brother Gerald Lupotsky, and sisters Dolores Michaelkovich and Lisa Polites.

Funeral Service will be held on May 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Very Rev. Archpriest Michael Hutsko officiating in the SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 N. Beech St., Mt Carmel. Visitation will be held in the Church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
