Wilburton – John W. Onusconage, 76, of 1185 Legion St., passed away on July 19, 2023, at his residence.

He was born in Ashland on January 29, 1947, the son of the late John "Jack" and Madeline (Howe) Onusconage.

John was a life long resident of Wilburton. He worked in the maintenance department and as a mechanic for the former Cardinal Container, Mt. Carmel Township.

On August 30, 1969, he married the former Ruthann C. Tinari in St. Joseph's Church, Girardville.

John was a life member of the Wilburton #1 Fire Company and a member of the Shenandoah Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and driving the fun bus at Knoebel's campground.

John is survived by his wife, Ruthann C. Onusconage; three daughters, Michelle O'Hearn and husband, Edward and their daughter, Kirsten; Erica Becker and husband, Tim and their daughters, Hazel and Mazzy, and Wendy Onusconage and her children, Tyler Ober, Kelsey Ober, and Avery Beaver; as well as various nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
