Kulpmont – Joseph D. Anania, 93, of 828 Scott St., passed away on October 23, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born in Kulpmont on May 5, 1932, a son of the late Vito and Mary (Rovito) Anania.

Joseph was a graduate of Kulpmont High School, Class of 1948. He was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont and was employed by Montour Herr Gas & Oil, where he began as a serviceman and advanced to Manager. He was also the original daytime delivery person for Scicchitano's Buono Pizza in Kulpmont.

On September 27, 1958, he married the former Jean J. Procopio in St. Mary's Church, Kulpmont.

Joseph was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, where he served as a member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Kulpmont Knights of Columbus, an officer of the East End Fire Company in Kulpmont, and a member of the Kulpmont Sportsmen Association. He coached for the Kulpmont Wildcats Little League baseball team and served as "Chairman of the Board at the Bench" in Kulpmont.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Jean J. Anania of Kulpmont; a son, Stephen J. Anania of Kulpmont; a sister, Rose Ann Rebar of Butler; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Father Andrew Stahmer officiating in the Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Visitation will be held in the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, PA 17834.
