Mount Carmel - Joseph T. Roscoe, 81, of 31 North Willow Street, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Ashland on July 29, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Agnes (McGinley) Roscoe.  He was a graduate of Conyngham High School.

He was employed as a state clerk for the Pennsylvania Treasury Department.

Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Centralia Borough Council.

He served with the US Navy from 1954-1962.

Survivors include his previous wife and mother of his children, Jeanette (Corrigan) Roscoe of Frackville; three children, John J. Roscoe and his wife Jennifer of Conway, AR; Ann Krehel and her husband Shawn of Mount Carmel; and Lynne M. Bridgers and her husband Henry of Conway, NC; a son-in-law, Lenny Marshalek of Mount Carmel; four granddaughters, Laraine Hilgers and her husband, Chris of CA; Nicole Roscoe of CO; Tara Miller and her husband Lance of Mifflinville and Bailey Roscoe of AR; three grandsons, Steven Knock of Gordon, Alec Suchoski of Mount Carmel and JT Roscoe of AR; one great granddaughter, Aurora Hilgers of CA; his longtime companion, Shirly Bartol of Mount Carmel as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Marshalek on October 3, 2015.

Joseph T. Roscoe, 81, of 31 North Willow Street, Mount Carmel - Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:30 am in Church of Our Lady, 47 South Market Street, Mount Carmel with Father Francis Karwacki, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Centralia.  Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:15 - 10:15 with Vigil Prayers at 10:00 in the C.J.
